Spine Replacement - A spine replacement involves using new material (either leather or nonleather) to replace the existing broken spine. The old spine can be put on top of the new spine so that the new spine still looks like the old spine.

                Nonleather spine replacement cost is usually $30-$40

                Leather spine replacement starts at $65

New Cover- This involves completely removing old cover and making a new one.

               

                Nonleather new cover is usually $60

                Leather new cover starts at $100

Re-Case - When a book’s cover has come off of the book but is still in good condition and unbroken, this is called a re-case.

               

                Re-Case cost is $20

Page Repair - Often, old books have pages that need to be fixed. Most pages can be fixed at an hourly rate of $20. Some pages need to be completely re-backed to make them usable in the book. Backing a page will start at $5 per page (depending on the size of page).

Printing - Little Mountain Bindery use a hot stamping machine to print new titles onto books. The cost for printing is as follows:

                Name on Bible - $10

                (Holy Bible is complimentary on all new covers for Bibles.)

                Titles on spine and covers - Start at $15 (Depending on the number of lines)

              

                 Leather Labels - Start at $20

               

                  

              

                

         

This is an example of a book that would need a spine replacement. The spine would be replaced with a matching red and the old spine would be put on top of the new one to retain its character.

These books also needed spine replacements. I was able to save the black hymnal spine to use on the old, but I had to recreate the brown hymnal as seen in the lower picture
